Job Description

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist near Battle Creek, MI. This full-time position runs from August 24, 2026, to June 10, 2027, with the possibility of part-time or hybrid scheduling (predominantly onsite; fully remote options are not offered). Assignments will primarily support PreK and Kindergarten students, with final placements to be confirmed by August 22, 2026.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license; please include a screenshot of your active license when submitting your application.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required.
  • Prior experience delivering speech services in a school setting, especially with early learners, is highly valued.
  • Solid understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance with special education laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective consultation with families, teachers, and support staff.
  • Ability to provide engaging, evidence-based therapy for diverse student needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy to PreK and Kindergarten students onsite, Monday through Friday (up to 40 hours per week, flexible for part time).
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Document student progress and contribute to IEP meetings and evaluations.
  • Consult with staff and families to support students’ communication goals in classroom and home environments.
  • Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
