Speech Language Pathologist in Battle Creek, MI

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology services for young learners in a dynamic school setting near Battle Creek, MI. This full-time position begins August 24, 2026, and runs through June 10, 2027, focusing on PreK and Kindergarten populations. While assignments will be finalized by August 22, 2026, flexibility around work hours can be accommodated, including part-time and hybrid schedules—however, fully remote arrangements are not available. Onsite attendance is required for most days to engage directly with students and support their communication development.

What you’ll bring:

• Active Michigan SLP license (screenshot required upon application, verification link available)
• SLP-CCC certification or eligibility
• Experience working in school settings with children ages 3-6 preferred
• Ability to develop and implement individualized intervention plans
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for teaming with educators and families
• Enthusiasm for supporting children’s speech, language, and social skills in an educational environment
• Familiarity with IEP processes and compliance standards

What you’ll do:

• Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings
• Evaluate and diagnose speech-language disorders
• Develop, implement, and update IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide direct therapy to students within PreK and Kindergarten classrooms
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
• Educate families and staff on strategies and resources for student success
• Participate in school meetings and contribute to team planning
