Job Description
Take your expertise as a Speech Language Pathologist to an engaging, onsite school-based role supporting K-12 students for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This full-time contract opportunity near Dearborn, MI allows you to make a meaningful impact by helping students develop vital communication skills, all in a collaborative and rewarding school environment.
Skills & Credentials:
- Active Michigan SLP license, with current SLP-CCC certification required
- Prior experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of the needs of both general and special education students aged K-12
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities
- Ability to design and implement evidence-based therapy targeting a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students as indicated in IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and progress monitoring using standardized assessment tools
- Develop and adjust individualized plans based on student needs and progress data
- Maintain thorough and timely records in accordance with school and state requirements
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and serve as a resource for staff regarding speech/language development
