Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract position serving young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Parma, MI area. This role focuses on supporting PreK and Kindergarten students throughout the 2026-2027 academic year, with opportunities for either full-time or part-time hours. The client is seeking SLP-CCC professionals who are eager to provide primarily onsite services, with a preference for more in-person days than hybrid and no fully remote options available.
Key requirements include:
- Active Michigan SLP license (submit a screenshot with your application)
- National Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience in school-based settings, particularly with PreK and Kindergarten populations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, parents, and support staff
- Flexibility to adapt to assignment details, with placements finalized by August 22, 2026
- Availability from August 24, 2026, to June 10, 2027
Primary responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to PreK and Kindergarten students
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with classroom staff for integrated support
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Communicate therapy goals and progress to families and interdisciplinary teams
This contract offers up to 40 hours per week of hands-on experience in a dynamic, supportive school environment.
