A temporary pharmacist opportunity is available at a high-security state psychiatric hospital pharmacy in Fulton, MO, with coverage starting in early September and ongoing until a permanent pharmacist is hired. This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekend or on-call duties. The pharmacy observes all Missouri state holidays and operates separately from the secure psychiatric perimeter, resulting in limited to no direct patient contact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pharmacist checks on technician-prepared medication packs, including bags flagged by InspectRx, repackaging, bag corrections, and canister refilling.
• Perform barcode scanning verification of filled medications.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff for troubleshooting and support.
• Limited order verification; behavioral health experience is not required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Missouri pharmacist license is mandatory.
• Training provided on Oracle/Cerner order entry system; no prior experience necessary.
• Training provided on Parata ATP2 Packager automation system; no prior experience necessary.
• Local candidates preferred.
• Ability to complete approximately three days of pre-start training.

Work Environment and Team:

• Pharmacy team comprises Director of Pharmacy, Clinical Manager, PGY-2 Psychiatric Pharmacist Resident, Informatics Pharmacist, and two Clinical Pharmacists.
• Tech support handles packager operation and order preparation.
• Dress code is business casual or scrubs of any color.
