Travel Retail Pharmacist in Greenwood, IN

A specialty pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist for a travel assignment of 13+ weeks located in Pocahontas, IA. This role primarily involves Long Term Care Pharmacist responsibilities and requires a professional who can deliver expert pharmaceutical care within a specialty pharmacy setting.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Some weekends may be required

Responsibilities:

• Manage medication dispensing and ensure accuracy for long-term care patients
• Review and verify prescriptions according to state laws and pharmacy protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy
• Provide counseling and education to patients and caregivers on proper medication use
• Maintain compliance with regulatory pharmacy standards
• Support pharmacy operations and assist in maintaining inventory control

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Iowa Pharmacy License or an Iowa Temporary License
• Immunization Certification preferred
• CPR Certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations, especially related to long-term care
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
