Special Education Teacher - Bedford, NH

Embark on a rewarding contract position shaping the educational journey of young learners as a Special Education Teacher near Bedford, NH. This full-time opportunity spans from August 2026 to June 2027, providing meaningful impact across both 2nd and 5th grades in two engaging school environments. With a Monday through Friday schedule totaling 32–37.5 hours a week, you’ll have the chance to inspire, support, and advocate for a dedicated caseload of around 15 students.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience with 2nd or 5th grade students strongly preferred
• Background in both teaching and case management for students with diverse learning needs
• Skilled in developing and executing IEPs, collaborating with educational staff and families, and adapting instruction to foster student success
• Ability to organize and balance responsibilities across two school locations (specific schools to be shared during interview stage)
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction to 2nd and 5th grade students with special needs
• Manage and update IEPs, progress reports, and related documentation
• Serve as case manager for approximately 15 students, maintaining regular communication with families and collaborating staff
• Travel between two school sites as part of the regular assignment
• Support classroom teachers in adapting curriculum and strategies for varied learning styles and abilities
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
