Special Education Teacher - Swanzey, NH

Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting their unique learning needs as a Special Education Teacher in a contract role based near Swanzey, NH. This opportunity involves working across three school buildings and supporting students from 1st to 11th grade. These buildings include both charter schools and locations within the Keene boundary, providing diverse experiences with various age groups and academic settings.

What we’re seeking:

• Valid New Hampshire teaching certification in Special Education (required)
• Demonstrated experience delivering specialized instruction in school settings
• Flexibility to work in different environments (grades 1-2, 9-11, and 9-12 buildings)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with staff, students, and families
• Dedicated to fostering inclusive, supportive classroom environments
• Availability for on-site work; remote or hybrid options are not available
• Open to either full-time or part-time commitment, based on availability

Role responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Deliver direct, specialized instruction to students across multiple grade levels
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
• Maintain clear records and documentation per school and state requirements
