School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Cambridge, Maryland

A rewarding opportunity awaits a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist seeking a contract role providing essential services to students in a vibrant academic community. This assignment spans the 2026-2027 school year, supporting both secondary and elementary student populations in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

You’ll primarily deliver speech-language therapy and evaluations at Cambridge-South Dorchester High School and Dorchester Career & Technology Center, with one day per week at nearby Maple Elementary School. Your expertise will help students thrive academically and socially by addressing communication challenges and supporting their growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active Maryland SLP license required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Previous experience in school-based settings strongly desired
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
• Exceptional communication, organization, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication needs
• Provide direct therapy services and consult with educators and families to support student progress
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to promote best practices and facilitate student success
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team goals
• Adapt service delivery to meet the diverse needs of both secondary and elementary students
