School Social Worker - West Hartford, CT

We are seeking two dedicated professionals for full-time roles focused on supporting students through crucial onsite evaluations within local high school and elementary settings. These roles require skilled, compassionate individuals ready for short-term assignments with the possibility of extension.

Opportunity Details:

• Two separate full-time positions (35 hours/week, Monday–Friday)
• Position 1: High School caseload, August 31, 2026 – October 9, 2026
• Position 2: Elementary School caseload, August 31, 2026 – September 30, 2026
• Assignments are onsite and will primarily involve conducting evaluations
• No virtual/remote work; presence on campus is required
• Possibility for assignment extension, dependent on school need

Qualifications:

• Active CT Department of Public Health license and valid CT (071) school social worker certification—please provide licensure/certification upon application
• School-based experience is a must
• Comfortable handling short-term and leave replacement assignments
• Experience conducting assessments and supporting students in educational environments
• Availability for Zoom interviews

Responsibilities:

• Complete student evaluations and participate in planning for educational and emotional support
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure student needs are met
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of all services and interactions
• Provide crisis intervention, group, and individual support as appropriate
