Make a real impact on students’ lives in a supportive school environment as a School Psychologist. This full-time, contract position is located near West Hartford, CT, with a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week, from 8:45am to 3:35pm. You’ll work closely with a small caseload, allowing you to provide individualized attention and meaningful support as you help foster student growth and academic success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a School Psychologist (070) required
  • Prior experience working in school settings strongly preferred
  • Strong skills in conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations (both initial and triennial)
  • Ability to provide both individual and group counseling within a school context
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, particularly for PPT (Planning and Placement Team) meetings
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams

What You’ll Do:

  • Complete initial psychological evaluations and re-evaluations (triennials) to help build comprehensive student profiles
  • Deliver targeted individual and small group counseling to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Facilitate PPT meetings, ensuring clear communication and family engagement throughout the special education process
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and school teams to develop and implement interventions and support plans
  • Maintain thorough and organized documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
