Job Description

A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated school psychologist to support high school students during the 2026–2027 academic year. This full-time, in-person role calls for a compassionate professional ready to perform psychoeducational evaluations, prepare comprehensive reports, and collaborate with educators and IEP teams to positively impact student outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Delaware School Psychologist license (must be presented with your application)
  • Previous high school or school-based psychologist experience highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
  • Proficient report-writing skills
  • Experience participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Willingness and availability to work onsite five days per week throughout the contract
  • Reliable transportation to the Wilmington area
  • Ability to complete district fingerprinting requirements upon onboarding

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments for high school students in a school-based environment
  • Interpret assessment data and create detailed evaluation reports
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, offering insight into interventions and accommodations
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address student learning and behavioral needs
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to all compliance and confidentiality requirements

This assignment runs from August 24, 2026 to June 16, 2027, with a consistent 37.5-hour week onsite—no remote or hybrid option is available. Interviews will be conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams and will last about 15–30 minutes.
