Job Description
Step into an impactful role supporting high school students as a dedicated school psychologist. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a lasting difference throughout the academic year, beginning August 24, 2026 and concluding June 16, 2027. You’ll work full-time—37.5 hours each week—on-site, in-person, Monday through Friday, helping students thrive in an engaging high school environment near Bear, DE.
In this role, your expertise will be crucial as you:
- Conduct thorough psychoeducational evaluations and assessments for high school students
- Prepare clear, comprehensive reports that inform educational planning
- Actively participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings
- Collaborate with district professionals to ensure students’ academic and emotional needs are met
- Serve as a resource for students, families, and staff, promoting a positive and supportive school culture
- Ensure all state and district guidelines are followed while maintaining best practices in school psychology
We’re seeking professionals who bring:
- Active Delaware School Psychologist licensure (required)
- Previous experience as a school psychologist in a school-based environment
- Skilled background in conducting psychoeducational evaluations, assessments, and report writing
- Confidence working directly with high school-age students
- Willingness to work five days per week, in-person exclusively—remote or hybrid options are not available
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to complete district onboarding requirements, including fingerprinting
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
