School Social Worker - West Hartford, CT

Position Details:

• Full-time, onsite roles with 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
• First opening supports a high school caseload from August 31, 2026, through October 9, 2026.
• Second opening serves an elementary school community from August 31, 2026, through September 30, 2026, with the potential for extension.
• Both positions primarily involve conducting evaluations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active CT DPH license and CT (071) certification are required.
• Previous, hands-on social work experience within a school environment.
• Ability to thrive in short-term, fast-paced assignments providing impactful student services.
• Expertise in student assessments and a supportive, collaborative approach to working with school teams.
• Flexibility and a positive attitude toward engaging with diverse student populations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to support student learning and well-being.
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and administration to develop student-centered support plans.
• Offer crisis intervention, consultation, and guidance to help each student succeed in their academic and personal goals.
• Maintain thorough records and ensure confidentiality and compliance with all school and state guidelines.
• Participate in school meetings and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture.
