Step into an impactful, contract-based Occupational Therapist opportunity in the Denver area, providing vital support for K-12 students during a leave coverage period. In this full-time onsite position, you’ll have the chance to leverage your expertise as you work closely with diverse student populations and school staff, adapting your approach to meet the needs of each unique age group.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to K-12 students in a school setting
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff to develop and implement individualized intervention plans
  • Assess students' needs, develop treatment strategies, and monitor progress
  • Document services provided and engage in regular communication with students’ families
  • Participate in student support meetings and ensure compliance with IEP/504 goals
  • Work across multiple schools as assigned, with caseload and locations communicated at the start of assignment

Desired experience and qualifications:

  • Active Colorado Department of Education credential for Occupational Therapist (serving ages birth through 21)
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based therapy environments
  • Solid understanding of state and federal special education regulations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies for students with diverse backgrounds and needs
  • Willingness to complete a background check upon contingent offer
