Special Education Teacher in York, PA

Make a difference supporting students in an engaging learning center environment as a Special Education Teacher. Two onsite Special Education Teachers are needed for the upcoming school year, working Monday through Friday from 7:45am to 3:15pm. The assignment runs from August 2026 through June 2027, primarily focusing on Autistic Support Rooms. The start date is flexible, beginning as soon as Pennsylvania clearances and pre-training are complete.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Special Education
• Proven experience or strong interest working with students in autistic support or similar settings
• Solid classroom management and individualized instruction abilities
• Skillful communicator, able to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
• Commitment to fostering a welcoming, inclusive classroom culture

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and individualized support to students in Autistic Support classrooms
• Develop, adapt, and implement IEPs in accordance with student needs and regulatory standards
• Collect data and track student progress to inform instructional planning and interventions
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators to ensure comprehensive support for each learner
• Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment that emphasizes student growth
• Participate in pre-service training and professional development as assigned
