Special Education Teacher in Norristown, PA

Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting their growth and learning as a Special Education Teacher this school year. You will work full-time, from 7:45am to 4:00pm, with a small class of approximately 12 students, allowing for focused and individualized instruction. This engaging contract position begins on August 24th and continues through June 11th, offering consistency and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification for Pennsylvania
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in school settings
• Up-to-date Pennsylvania clearances (or willingness to obtain them promptly)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Provide direct instruction, interventions, and support across various subjects and functional skills
• Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and families to maximize student growth
• Maintain accurate records and regular progress updates per district and state guidelines
• Cultivate a classroom environment that encourages participation, independence, and self-advocacy
