Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (appropriate for grade level)
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum
• Strong grasp of effective, evidence-based interventions and instructional strategies for diverse learners
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct academic and behavioral instruction to students with autism across elementary or junior/senior high settings
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, aides, therapists, and families to support each student's learning and development
• Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet individualized needs and IEP goals
• Manage classroom routines and employ proactive behavior strategies
• Monitor student progress and maintain clear, timely documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate with families regarding student growth
