Make a meaningful impact by providing crucial occupational therapy services to students in a supportive educational environment. Multiple contract openings are available for experienced school-based Occupational Therapists eager to contribute to special education teams near Eden Prairie, MN. Each position presents unique opportunities to work closely with dedicated settings and age groups. Please specify your position preference upon applying, with priority given to roles #1-#3.

Available Positions:

  • 1st Opportunity: Support students receiving Setting IV special education during a leave of absence (August 31 – November 13). Work 32 hours per week across four days, located at the North Education Center.
  • 2nd Opportunity: Cover a longer-term leave (September 21 – January 4, excluding winter break) at the South Education Center, providing 40 hours of support each week for Setting IV students.
  • 3rd Opportunity: Contribute throughout the full academic year, splitting 20 hours weekly between two sites—one with varied special education placements, the other in a Setting IV environment.
  • 4th Opportunity: A full-time opening is pending final district confirmation; candidates interested are welcome to inquire.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license and school-based OT experience.
  • Successful completion of agency onboarding and district background check.
  • Reliable transportation to reach assigned sites.
  • Positive record from prior educational placements if credentialed.
  • Flexibility to work within the academic calendar and duration of each assignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group therapy to students receiving special education services.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress reporting.
  • Adapt interventions and supports based on IEPs and student needs.
