Special Education Teacher | Merrimack, New Hampshire

Seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to support young learners for the upcoming school year. This full-time, contract opportunity runs from August 2026 through June 2027, offering a chance to make a meaningful difference in early childhood education in a supportive environment.

Four positions are available, each focusing on elementary-age students within an engaging caseload. The expected schedule is 32.5 to 37.5 hours per week, providing consistent, rewarding work throughout the academic year.

Qualifications:

• Current Special Education (SPED) certification required (dual certification is no longer necessary)
• Experience or interest in working with early childhood or elementary-aged students
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to diverse learner needs
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and adapt curriculum materials to meet individual student needs
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state policies
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment
• Be an active participant in IEP meetings and contribute to the holistic development of each child
