Special Education Teacher - Thomasville, North Carolina

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid teaching license with an Adapted Curriculum endorsement (Strict requirement – candidates without this cannot be considered)
• Experience in providing specialized educational support within a public separate school or similar setting
• Background working with students who require individualized programs, with an ability to tailor instruction for varying abilities
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Preference for candidates with clear experience in either middle or high school grade levels, or a strong interest in these age groups

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction for students requiring adapted curricula in a dedicated separate school setting
• Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) aligned with each learner’s unique needs and abilities
• Collaborate with other special education professionals, staff, and families to ensure consistent support
