Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with K-5 or 6-8 populations strongly preferred
- Solid knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment
- Previous experience in a school setting is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging special education instruction tailored to a diverse group of approximately 25 students
- Develop, update, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Work closely with general education staff to adapt curricula and assessments
- Provide ongoing communication with families regarding student progress
- Employ evidence-based strategies to promote academic and social growth
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
