Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Richmond, TX

A rewarding opportunity awaits supporting secondary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This contract assignment spans the 2026-2027 academic year, offering full-time hours (37.5/week) or part-time flexibility (30+ hours/week) in a school setting near Richmond, TX, with campus placements designed for reasonable commutes.

In this hands-on, on-site role, you’ll work primarily with one school, occasionally floating to a second as needed. The average caseload is 80-90 middle and high school students, adjusted to recognize your skill and experience. Familiarity with AAC devices is highly valued. The district commits to credentialing support, emphasizing state fingerprinting and background screening.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Active and current state licensure for SLPA
• Experience supporting secondary-aged students (middle and/or high school)
• AAC device experience in school settings preferred
• Flexibility to manage a dynamic caseload across campuses as needed
• A collaborative and student-centered approach

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering speech and language services as directed by a licensed SLP
• Supporting IEP implementation and data collection
• Collaborating with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to foster student success
• Documenting student progress and participation
• Traveling between campuses if required
• Participating in professional development as mandated by the district
