Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Texas SLPA license (must be provided with your application)
  • Demonstrated school-based SLPA or SLP experience; previous work in large metropolitan school settings is highly valued
  • Reliable transportation with the flexibility to commute between three local campuses as needed
  • Available to work on-site; remote options are not available for this assignment
  • Ability to promptly complete required fingerprinting for district approval upon contract signing

Responsibilities:

  • Support speech-language services under the direction of a licensed SLP, serving diverse student populations
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Document student progress and assist in preparing reports in compliance with school and state regulations
  • Adapt therapy approaches to multiple school environments, adjusting to students’ unique needs at each location
  • Ensure reliable attendance and communication across the duration of the assignment
