This full-time contract opportunity begins on August 24th, 2026 and continues through June 11th, 2027, offering 35 hours per week dedicated to fostering communication and inclusivity in classroom settings. We're seeking four skilled professionals to assist not only during regular school hours, but also for important meetings and enriching extracurricular activities.

What You'll Bring:

• VA Quality Assurance Screening (VQAS) Level III required
• Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 or higher
• Previous experience in K-12 educational settings highly valued
• Strong interpreting skills in American Sign Language for diverse settings
• Professionalism, adaptability, and collaborative approach
• Commitment to onsite-only work (no virtual/hybrid roles available)

Your Daily Impact:

• Interpret classroom instruction, ensuring access to content for deaf or hard-of-hearing students
• Provide clear interpretation during meetings with families, staff, and service providers
• Support school events and extracurricular activities as needed—opportunities may arise beyond standard school hours
• Collaborate thoughtfully with educators and administrators to create the best possible inclusive learning environment
• Travel between campuses within the Virginia Beach area as assigned
