Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) supporting secondary-aged students in the greater Sugar Land area. This position centers on fostering growth and communication skills among middle and high school students during the 2026-2027 academic year. As an integral member of the campus team, you’ll work primarily at one school, with occasional assignments at a nearby campus as needed.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold a current SLPA professional license
  • Experience working with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices is highly valued
  • Prior school-based SLPA experience preferred, especially supporting adolescents
  • Ability to pass a state fingerprinting/background check (time-sensitive)
  • Flexibility to potentially travel between two school sites close to your home
  • Comfortable managing a caseload averaging 80–90 students, adjusted for your skill level
  • Full-time preferred (37.5 hours/week), part-time options considered (approx. 30 hours/week)

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized therapy plans
  • Deliver speech and language services to middle and high school students as directed by supervising SLPs
  • Document session outcomes, progress notes, and caseload management tasks efficiently
  • Support integration of AAC tools in therapy and classroom settings
  • Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff
