Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting high school students as a School Psychologist in the New Britain area. This onsite, full-time position offers a collaborative environment within a dedicated education team. The assignment begins August 24, 2026, and runs through May 2027, with potential for extension into the remainder of the academic year, depending on staffing needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid, active licensure and certification to practice as a School Psychologist in Connecticut
  • Demonstrated experience in a school-based setting
  • Comfortable working full-time (35 hours weekly) with high school students
  • Proficiency in administering psychoeducational evaluations and preparing PPT reports
  • Strong understanding of adolescent development, social-emotional needs, and IEP processes
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work onsite at a designated high school campus
  • Available to participate in a Zoom-based interview

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including cognitive, academic, behavioral, and socio-emotional evaluations
  • Prepare and present findings during Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student success
  • Develop intervention plans and track progress for students requiring additional support
  • Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed within the school
  • Maintain detailed and confidential student records in compliance with legal and district standards
