This full-time, on-site contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with a small caseload, allowing for focused and personalized attention to each student’s needs. Work hours are Monday–Friday from 8:45am to 3:35pm, creating a balanced schedule for those seeking consistency within an academic setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (070) required
- Experience with school-based initial and triennial evaluations
- Strong ability to provide both individual and group counseling to students
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate PPT (Planning and Placement Team) meetings
- Comfortable collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial psychological assessments and triennial evaluations to support student placement, intervention planning, and eligibility determination
- Deliver targeted individual and small group counseling services to address social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Participate actively in PPT meetings, providing insights and recommendations to support student growth
- Work collaboratively to develop and monitor IEPs, contributing as a key member of student support teams
- Serve as a resource for faculty and families, offering guidance on behavioral strategies, student development, and mental health supports
