Key Qualifications:

• Hold an active Delaware Special Education Teacher license (required for consideration)
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Flexibility to adapt teaching strategies to diverse learning styles and needs
• Commitment to fostering a positive, respectful, and supportive classroom environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized, small-group, and whole-class instruction according to IEPs and curriculum standards
• Assess student progress, adjust strategies, and provide timely feedback to support growth
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective, student-centered supports
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student achievements, goals, and strategies
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom culture that encourages personal and academic growth

Highlights and Structure:

• Full contract from August 25, 2026 through June 8, 2027
• 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• Schedule varies by student level:
  • Elementary: 8:30am–4:00pm
  • Middle School: 7:10am–3:10pm
  • High School: 7:15am–2:45pm
• Select assignment location: choose from multiple elementary, middle, and high school sites based on your interest
