Special Education Teacher - Bear, Delaware

This contract position offers multiple onsite opportunities at elementary, middle, and high school settings, each dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for every student.

Highlights of the Role:

• Full-time contract from August 25, 2026, to June 8, 2027
• 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• School-specific hours:
  • Elementary: 8:30am–4:00pm
  • Middle: 7:10am–3:10pm
  • High: 7:15am–2:45pm
• Flexible openings at several school locations; you may specify your preferred site

Key Qualifications:

• A valid Delaware Special Education Teaching license (required)
• Demonstrated experience working with students with diverse learning needs
• Comprehensive knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Ability to collaborate with other teachers, specialists, and families
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful classroom environment

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Develop, modify, and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
• Adapt instructional techniques and materials to support student growth
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Communicate regularly with families and interdisciplinary teams
• Foster positive student engagement and behavior management
• Participate in professional development and school-based meetings
