Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A hospital in White Plains, New York, seeks a per diem Registered Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical services and contribute to superior patient care. This direct-hire role offers approximately 24 hours per week on an alternate day shift schedule, requiring flexibility with varying daytime hours.

Responsibilities include reviewing medication orders for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness; ensuring adherence to hospital policies and professional standards; and supporting patient education, safety, and rights. The pharmacist will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes. Additional duties involve overseeing pharmacy assistants, participating in quality improvement projects, infection control, and cost containment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review medication orders against patient profiles for accuracy and drug interactions
  • Implement hospital pharmaceutical policies and procedures
  • Provide age-appropriate medication education and advocate for patient safety
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
