Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract assignment serving K-8 students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the vicinity of Andover, MN. This opportunity is ideal for professionals devoted to supporting communication development in a collaborative educational environment. The assignment runs from August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with a flexible schedule of 30-40 hours per week across five days.

You’ll work with a caseload of approximately 40 students, providing targeted services designed to help each child achieve their speech and language goals. Whether you bring experience with SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, pediatric populations, or have assisted in school settings as an SLPA, your expertise will be valued and impactful.

Qualifications:

  • Current Minnesota licensure as an SLP or SLPA
  • Experience with K-8 student populations preferred, but CFY candidates are welcome
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills within multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in evaluation, development, and implementation of IEPs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide speech and language interventions for a diverse range of needs and abilities
  • Develop and update Individualized Education Plans in partnership with teachers and families
  • Monitor student progress and document therapy outcomes effectively
  • Collaborate closely with staff, students, and families to ensure consistent support throughout the school year
  • Adapt strategies and materials to maximize student engagement and progress
