Job Description
Step into a dynamic opportunity supporting early learners as a long-term substitute Speech-Language Pathologist! For 12 rewarding weeks starting September 7, 2026, you’ll deliver essential speech therapy services for a caseload of children aged 3–5 years in an Early Childhood Special Education setting. With a flexible, part-time schedule of three days per week (22.5 hours total), you’ll collaborate with families and educators to create positive outcomes during a pivotal period of early development.
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Minnesota SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Direct experience with Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), preferably with ages 3-5
- Previous school-based SLP experience, especially in a preschool setting
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to early childhood students
- Conduct evaluations, assessments, and document progress
- Develop and review IEPs in accordance with district and state requirements
- Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to facilitate generalization of skills
- Provide consultative support and strategies for classroom implementation
- Maintain timely, accurate records and ensure compliance with all policies
