Special Education Teacher in Great Falls, MT

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) for Montana
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Previous experience teaching at the high school level preferred
• Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Case manage and instruct a small group of high school students with exceptionalities
• Develop individualized, standards-based lesson plans to meet IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
• Assess student progress and adapt instruction as needed
• Maintain accurate case files, documentation, and compliance with regulations
• Effectively communicate progress and advocate for students to parents/guardians
