Human Resources (HR) Assistant

The Human Resources (HR) Assistant provides essential administrative support to a small HR team, reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). This role focuses on facilitating recruitment, maintaining employee records, coordinating interviews, and ensuring compliance with HR policies, while managing scheduling and onboarding processes. The HR Assistant helps streamline daily HR operations, contributing to an efficient and organized workplace environment.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment efforts by coordinating candidate communications and scheduling interviews
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files
• Assist with onboarding and preparing new hire orientation packets to ensure a smooth integration process
• Schedule job interviews with candidates and managers
• Track compliance with HR policies and regulatory requirements
• Assist with answering the phone and taking messages, forwarding to appropriate persons
• Coordinate schedules and manage calendars for HR team members
• Perform general administrative tasks such as copying, faxing and emailing and occasional errands as needed
• Assist with other tasks required by supervisor

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience working in human resources
• HS Diploma or equivalent (college degree in related field is a plus)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially word and excel.
• Strong record keeping abilities
• Friendly style and clear communication skills
• Strong respect for private data
• Excellent time management
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
