We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to support a growing organization in Chatsworth, California. This contract to hire opportunity is ideal for an individual who can lead day-to-day HR operations while fostering a positive and compliant workplace environment. The role will oversee employee relations, benefits administration, onboarding, and HR systems with a strong focus on operational excellence and employee support.


Responsibilities:

• Guide managers and employees on workplace matters, helping resolve concerns fairly, promptly, and in alignment with company policies.

• Oversee core human resources processes, including personnel records, policy administration, and routine HR documentation.

• Administer employee benefit programs by coordinating enrollments, addressing questions, and helping ensure accurate processing.

• Manage onboarding activities for new hires, creating a smooth start-to-employment experience and ensuring completion of required documentation.

• Maintain and update HRIS data to support accurate reporting, employee information management, and process efficiency.

• Partner with leadership to support HR initiatives, improve employee engagement, and reinforce organizational standards.

• Monitor compliance with employment practices and internal policies, recommending updates when needed.

• Prepare HR reports and track key personnel information to support decision-making and workforce planning.

• 5-7+ years of experience in human resources, including leadership or managerial-level responsibility.

• Experience in the real estate or construction industry is highly preferred

• Demonstrated background in employee relations and the ability to handle sensitive workplace situations with discretion.

• Experience managing HR administration functions, including documentation, policy support, and employee recordkeeping.

• Working knowledge of employee benefits administration and related coordination activities.

• Hands-on experience using HRIS platforms to maintain data accuracy and support reporting needs.

• Proven ability to coordinate onboarding processes for new employees in a structured and thorough manner.

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of HR compliance practices and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all HR matters.
