We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to support daily HR operations in Texas. This contract position is well suited for someone with strong administrative skills who can manage sensitive employee information, assist with compliance-related tasks, and help keep recruitment and personnel processes organized. The role offers an opportunity to build hands-on HR experience while contributing to audits, onboarding support, and pre-employment screening activities.
Responsibilities:
• Support the HR team with day-to-day administrative work, including maintaining records and organizing employee documentation.
• Assist with personnel and per diem reviews to help ensure accuracy, completeness, and policy alignment.
• Handle confidential employee information with discretion and follow established privacy and compliance standards.
• Enter and update HR data in internal systems and spreadsheets with a high level of accuracy.
• Coordinate pre-employment screening activities, including background-related checks and required onboarding documentation.
• Help schedule interviews, meetings, and other HR-related appointments while keeping calendars organized.
• Provide onboarding support by preparing materials, tracking required forms, and assisting with new employee processes.
• Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook to prepare reports, manage communication, and support HR workflows.• At least 1 year of office administrative experience is required.
• Previous exposure to HR support, compliance tasks, audits, onboarding, or screening processes is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and especially Excel.
• Ability to work with confidential information in a detail-focused and discreet manner.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities, schedules, and administrative deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and candidates.
