Elementary Occupational Therapist School Setting - San Antonio, NM

This full-time, contract opportunity is designed for skilled Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) ready to make a meaningful difference in children's educational journeys.

As an integral onsite contributor, you'll work closely with students and staff to promote functional independence and success within the school environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active OT or COTA licensure and eligibility to practice in New Mexico
• Experience providing occupational therapy in elementary or school settings
• Strong understanding of school-based evaluation, intervention, and documentation
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teachers, support staff, and families
• Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies to meet individual student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students in accordance with IEPs and 504 plans
• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and ongoing assessments to track student progress
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s educational needs
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ participation in classroom and school activities
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation following district and federal guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team planning
