Make a meaningful impact this school year as a contract Occupational Therapist, working from September 18th through January 4th near Minneapolis, MN. This rewarding opportunity spans both elementary and middle school environments, offering you the chance to support students’ development, help them achieve their fullest potential, and foster independence in their daily routines. You’ll supervise a COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) and collaborate with a dedicated multidisciplinary staff.

What You Bring:

  • Active license to practice occupational therapy in Minnesota
  • Experience providing occupational therapy services in a school setting is highly valued
  • Ability to supervise and mentor a COTA effectively
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and fellow professionals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess students to determine occupational therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to students at both elementary and middle school locations
  • Provide supervision and guidance to a COTA, ensuring best practices and compliance
  • Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, and families to integrate therapy goals into students’ educational programs
  • Maintain accurate recordkeeping and documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
  • Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students’ educational plans

This contract position allows you to build relationships with students across multiple age groups, expand your expertise supervising support staff, and experience variety by working at two distinct school sites.
