Occupational Therapist School Setting - Hodges, SC

A contract assignment is available for a skilled OT to begin in November, supporting area schools with a focus on student growth and development. The schedule starts with three days per week, expanding to four days in January, offering a balanced workweek and room for flexibility.

This role features an itinerant service delivery model, enabling you to reach diverse learners across multiple schools. You’ll have an essential leadership component as well, supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and helping elevate the standards of student care throughout each assignment.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Occupational Therapy license for the state
• Prior experience with pediatric or school-based occupational therapy services preferred
• Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and goal-setting for students
• Skills in collaboration, organization, and adaptability
• Experience with itinerant or multi-site settings highly valued
• Ability to supervise and mentor COTAs effectively

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted OT interventions to students based on individualized education programs
• Travel between school sites as part of an itinerant model, providing consistent service to each
• Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting plans as needed
• Supervise and provide guidance to COTAs, ensuring quality and compliance
• Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
• Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with district guidelines
