Job Description

A welcoming school community near Burnsville, MN, is searching for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to step into a long-term substitute position for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. This contract role begins August 31, 2026, and continues through November 30, 2026, with the possibility of extension for the rest of the year. You’ll provide essential teletherapy and on-site OT support to students, nurturing their fine and gross motor skills while empowering them to thrive in the classroom and beyond. Embrace a part-time schedule, working three days per week—totaling 24 hours.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Minnesota
  • Experience delivering services in a school setting preferred
  • Skilled in teletherapy platforms and best practices for remote OT
  • Strong background in assessing and supporting fine and gross motor development
  • Warm, compassionate, and professional communication skills
  • Committed to creating an inclusive, positive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students via teletherapy and in-person sessions as needed
  • Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for students with various needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate OT goals into daily routines
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and district policies
  • Foster student independence and participation in academic and daily activities
