School Psychologist - New Britain, CT

An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated School Psychologist interested in making a positive impact in an educational environment on a contract basis. This on-site, full-time position offers a weekly schedule of 35 hours, with workdays running from 8:45am to 3:35pm. You’ll support a small caseload, giving you the chance to offer focused, individualized attention, while collaborating closely with a team of educators and support staff.

Key qualifications and desired experience:

• Current Connecticut School Psychologist certification (070) is required
• Previous experience with school-based psychological services preferred
• Strong skills in conducting initial and triennial student evaluations
• Ability to provide individual and group counseling to students
• Effective communicator, both in documentation and facilitation of meetings

In this role, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for initial and triennial evaluations
• Deliver a limited amount of individual and group counseling sessions tailored to student needs
• Facilitate PPT meetings, collaborating with parents and multi-disciplinary teams to support each student's educational plan
• Maintain accurate records and case notes as required by school policies and state guidelines
• Communicate recommendations and strategies to support student success in the classroom
