Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic school setting near Hayward, CA. This full-time role runs from ASAP through June 2027, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule. You'll work with an elementary school caseload, making a genuine impact on students' academic and social growth.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active ESN (Extensive Support Needs) credential required
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly in an elementary environment
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Collaborative mindset, with a passion for fostering inclusive classrooms
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to diverse learner needs
  • Develop, execute, and monitor IEPs in partnership with general education staff and families
  • Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust strategies as necessary
  • Employ evidence-based strategies and accommodations to help students achieve success
  • Engage regularly with families, support staff, and administrators to ensure a cohesive educational experience
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional learning as appropriate
