Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid teaching credential in Special Education (California state certification preferred)
  • Previous experience teaching at the elementary level, particularly in mild-moderate settings
  • Strong understanding of differentiated instruction, IEP development, and compliance
  • Ability to effectively manage a diverse classroom and build positive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Dedication to inclusive practices and adapting curriculum to meet individual student needs

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to elementary students with mild to moderate learning differences
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, specialists, and parents to promote student success
  • Track and document progress, behavioral data, and goal achievement
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that celebrates each child’s unique strengths
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, school meetings, and student support initiatives
