Empower students, families, and faculty with your expertise as a dedicated school social worker in a supportive educational environment near Cuba, NY. This full-time, onsite contract position presents an opportunity to make a significant impact by addressing students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs in a school-based setting. What We’re Looking For:

  • Current New York State School Social Worker Certification (NYS Cert for SW) required
  • Experience working in schools or with children/adolescents in educational settings
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, students, families, and community partners
  • Ability to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
  • Understanding of IEPs and 504 Plans is highly desirable
  • Compassionate, solution-focused, and adaptable to a dynamic school environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support and counseling services to students facing academic, behavioral, or social challenges
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and outside agencies to coordinate services and resources
  • Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and monitor student progress
  • Support crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed
  • Advocate for students’ well-being and promote a positive, inclusive school culture
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans
