About the Role

Aequor Tech is seeking motivated, compassionate, and detail-oriented Social Workers (SWs) for contract opportunities in Jamaica, Mount Vernon, and New York, NY. Available positions may include LMSW, LCSW, and Psychiatric Social Worker assignments.

Social Workers will work directly with clients and interdisciplinary teams to assess client needs, develop appropriate plans of action, connect individuals with community resources, and provide ongoing support and follow-up.

  • Jamaica, NY — Social Worker (LMSW)
    Assignment: August 31, 2026 – October 31, 2026
    Duration: 9 weeks | Shift: Days
  • Mount Vernon, NY — Social Worker (LCSW)
    Assignment: August 23, 2026 – December 20, 2026
    Duration: 17 weeks | Shift: Days
  • New York, NY — Psychiatric Social Worker
    Assignment: August 24, 2026 – October 17, 2026
    Duration: 8 weeks | Shift: Days
  • New York, NY — Psychiatric Social Worker
    Assignment: August 24, 2026 – October 17, 2026
    Duration: 8 weeks | Shift: Nights
Social Worker Responsibilities
  • Assess clients by conducting interviews and evaluating medical, psychological, emotional, and social information.
  • Conduct on-site visits when required to better understand client needs and circumstances.
  • Develop individualized plans by exploring options and establishing goals with clients.
  • Connect clients with appropriate community resources, services, and support programs.
  • Coordinate appointments and establish relationships with outside agencies and service providers.
  • Support clients as they work through behavioral, emotional, social, and personal challenges.
  • Help clients identify options and strategies that may improve their circumstances and overall well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case records and documentation.
  • Monitor client progress through regular follow-ups and ongoing assessments.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social service agencies, and other members of the care team.
  • Follow organizational policies, procedures, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and protect sensitive client information.
  • Stay informed about applicable federal, state, and local requirements related to social work services.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to team objectives.
Work Hours & Benefits

These are contract-based opportunities, with assignments and schedules varying by facility. Available schedules may include day and night shifts, depending on the position and facility requirements.

Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
  • LMSW or LCSW license, depending on the assignment.
  • State-specific social work licensure required.
  • 2–5 years of related social work experience preferred.
  • Psychiatric or behavioral health experience may be required for psychiatric social worker assignments.
  • Valid state-specific driver's license may be required depending on the assignment.
  • Must be able to meet facility-specific credentialing and compliance requirements.
  • Must be able to pass required background screening and other employment requirements.
