ELA Gen Ed Teacher - Napoleonville, LA

Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana teaching license/certification with necessary ESL or related endorsements
• Solid experience as a general education teacher, specifically teaching English Language Arts
• Strong ability to design, adapt, and deliver engaging lesson plans for English learners
• Exceptional communication, patience, and cultural awareness to support a classroom of diverse backgrounds
• Creative and flexible approach to address individual learning needs
• Availability for a full-time contract (37.5 hours per week), onsite only

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective ELA and ESL lesson plans to improve language skills
• Foster a safe and welcoming environment that encourages student participation and confidence
• Assess student progress and tailor instruction based on individual language development
• Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and families to ensure optimal student outcomes
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and compliance with district/state requirements
