ELA Gen Ed Teacher - Eden Prairie, MN

Exciting opportunity for an experienced English Language Arts educator to teach grades 5-8 on a full-time contract for the upcoming school year. This position supports students in a welcoming middle school environment and offers a chance to help develop strong literacy and communication skills in young learners. The assignment runs from August 31 through June 11, providing a dynamic academic year experience.

Ideal candidates will bring:

• Demonstrated background in general education with specific experience in ELA instruction for grades 5-8
• A current Tier 3 or 4 Minnesota teaching license (preferred)
• Strong classroom management, lesson planning, and communication skills
• Familiarity with curriculum standards and a passion for student growth

As the leading ELA teacher for these grades, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Assessing student progress using varied formative and summative assessments
• Providing differentiated instruction to support diverse learners
• Creating a classroom that encourages critical thinking, reading, writing, and discussion
• Collaborating with other educators and participating in school professional development
• Maintaining regular communication with students and families on academic progress
