Gen Ed Teacher - Painted Post, NY

Inspire creativity and nurture artistic talent in an educational setting near Painted Post, NY! This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated ART Teacher who thrives on guiding students through the creative process and fostering a lifelong appreciation for the visual arts. You’ll be engaging learners in a supportive environment from early September through late June, working in-person at a site to be confirmed in either Hornell or Bath.

Qualifications:

• Active New York State Teaching License with ART endorsement/certification required
• Experience as a General Education and/or Art Teacher in K-12 environments
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs
• Passion for cultivating a positive and inclusive classroom culture

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, standards-based art instruction to students as assigned
• Develop creative lesson plans that encourage artistic expression and critical thinking
• Foster a positive environment where all students are empowered to share their ideas and talents
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with fellow staff and administration to enhance the school’s arts program
• Participate in school events, exhibitions, and ongoing professional development
