Teacher in Corning, NY

Bring your creativity and passion for the arts into the classroom as an Art Teacher on a contract assignment in the picturesque southern tier of New York! This in-person position runs from early September through late June, offering you the opportunity to empower students and cultivate a love for artistic expression. You’ll collaborate with school staff and bring engaging lesson plans to life, guiding your students as they explore various art forms. The grade level is forthcoming, so adaptability and flexibility are valued as the assignment finalizes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid New York State teaching license with ART endorsements/certifications required
• Previous experience teaching art in a classroom setting preferred
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for diverse learners
• Enthusiasm for sharing art techniques and appreciation with students
